   Faith, North Carolina is a small Towne with a population of only about 593 people.  The Towne is located about 5 miles from the city of Salisbury. You may have already heard of Faith, the Fourth of July Celebration has made national news in the past.  President George Bush came to visit the local celebrations in 1992.  Read his speech to hear what he had to say about the small Towne of FAITH here:  "George Bush Presidential Library and Museum"    Everyone is welcome to visit Faith and be a part of it all if ever you can!  

  Where did the name of Faith North Carolina come from?

From information found in the Carolina Publisher Directory, tradition seems to have it that Faith got it's name form an early settler named John Thomas Wyatt. Wyatt,a newspaper columnist, was an early settler of the area. Tradition is, John started a quarry in the area and announced that he was proceeding "in faith".  Faith was incorporated in 1903.  The population is about 593 people.
